This is the 428th installment of the ‘Wrestling with Sin‘ series. A group of stories that delves into the darker, underbelly of pro wrestling. Many of the stories involve such subjects as sex, drugs, greed and in some cases even murder! As with every single story in the Sin series, I do not condone or condemn the alleged participants. We simply retell their stories by researching interviews, newspapers, magazines and various other sources of media.
Some People Just Don’t Kliq

Kevin Nash recalled he and Scott Hall meeting Bam Bam Bigelow at the airport in San Francisco and Bigelow asking if he could get a ride with the Kliq members since he couldn’t rent a car by himself. Hall and Nash were kind enough to let Bam Bam hitch a ride with them to the next show. After the show ended, the wrestlers were back on the road to the next show in Sacramento.
Once in Sacramento, the three wrestlers stopped at a convenience store for some beer. While in the store, a Latino gang walked in and recognized the wrestlers. Everything was okay for a while as Hall and Nash joked around with the gang members. It wasn’t until one gang member asked about Bam Bam’s head tattoo that the mood immediately changed.

According to Nash, Bam Bam was annoyed that the man asked about his tattoos and gave an attitude in return. Bam Bam said his head tattoo meant he was a serial killer, so the gang member asked who did he kill? Bigelow responded by saying he killed “spics” which is a derogatory term for Hispanics. The gang member walked out of the store and waited outside. Hall and Nash knew something bad was going to go down so they got their beer and went to the car.

As Bam Bam walked out of the store, the man he insulted pulled out a gun and put it on Bam Bam’s forehead. He then pistol whipped Bigelow, which caused Bam Bam to run to the awaiting car. As the wrestlers sped away and drove a good distance, Scott Hall told Nash to pull over. Once the car was stopped, Hall cut what Nash said was a scathing promo on Bam Bam. Hall said that Bigelow was not street tough and was just a fat piece of shit with tattoos. Scott then said his Kliq privileges were now forever revoked.
A Tiger’s Tale

Puerto Rican wrestler La Tigresa lashed out on social media towards her ex…former fellow wrestler Julio Lopez better known as ‘Diamante Dominicano.’ Both wrestled mainly in Puerto Rico for Carlos Colon’s World Wrestling Council (WWC). Julio Lopez would retire from wrestling and become an ordained minister.

According to La Tigresa, Lopez isn’t the Man of God that he appears to be. She has accused Lopez of adultery along with physical and verbal abuse against her. She claims that Lopez had two different cell phones. One for her and their family and another secret phone to keep in contact with other women. She went on to say Lopez was a “demon in disguise” who cursed at her and called her names while blessing others with the same mouth.

La Tigresa said she was warned about his toxic behavior by others, but loved him and wanted to see the good in him. She said she should have realized how horrible a human being he was by the fact he was divorced four times. To be fair, while Tigresa has made these allegations against Lopez…he hasn’t responded to her claims in any way.
Stay in Your Laine

In the Winter of 1973, in Rochester, New York… a wrestling show took place which featured a match between Tony Marino and the Sheik (Ed Farhat). During the match, ‘Killer’ Tim Brooks did a run in and while while running to the ring, a drunk fan hit him in the back with a chair. Brooks “no sold” the chair shot and continued to the ring.

Tim Brooks good friend and babyface wrestler ‘Cowboy’ Frankie Laine witnessed the drunk fan hitting Brooks with a chair and ran from the back into the stands. Laine punched the fan knocking him out. That stirred up other drunken fans to go after Laine in the stands. A riot broke out, with Tim Brooks jumping into the sea of fans punching and kicking his way to his friend.

The police finally got involved and were luckily able to calm things down enough to get the wrestlers to safety. The drunk fan who initiated the riot, demanded that Frankie Laine be arrested for assault, but the police threw the fan out of the building instead.
Butchering An Opportunity

In March of 1988, veteran Canadian wrestler Jos LeDuc was hired by the WWF after LeDuc was out of wrestling for over a year. He was named “The Headbanger Butcher” and given Frenchy Martin as a manager. LeDuc made a couple of dark match and a couple of house show appearances…only appearing on WWF television once. He was then fired by the company in July of that same year.

According to Bret Hart, LeDuc became an issue in the locker room as his drinking and drug use spiraled out of control. It was so bad that despite other WWF stars who drank and did drugs…Jos LeDuc’s was just too open and obvious and was fired for it.
