This is the 415th installment of the ‘Wrestling with Sin‘ series. A group of stories that delves into the darker, underbelly of pro wrestling. Many of the stories involve such subjects as sex, drugs, greed and in some cases even murder! As with every single story in the Sin series, I do not condone or condemn the alleged participants. We simply retell their stories by researching interviews, newspapers, magazines and various other sources of media.

The Cuck of Cornette

Two independent wrestlers came forward and accused Jim Cornette and his wife Stacey of grooming and sexual misconduct. Wrestlers Phil Earley and Josh Ashcraft say they were both approached by the Cornettes to have sex with Stacey while Jim watched. They both said that the Cornettes threatened to ruin their careers in wrestling if they did not comply with them. In the case of Ashcraft, he said he was threatened with being blackballed in wrestling if he walked away from the relationship and when he did walk away….mysteriously he started getting drug tested randomly and inspectors came to his house looking for violations.

Earley provided a series of text messages where Stacey was allegedly trying to seduce him. She also sent him a few nude pics of herself. Jim Cornette flatly denied that he and his wife threatened wrestlers or held back pushes if they didn’t have sex with them. Cornette did say…“I’ve been charged with having an interesting sex life.” The Cornettes said they would seek legal actions against their accusers.

While many fans sided with the Cornettes regarding this issue…other former OVW talent and workers corroborated the initial accusations. Jim and Stacey were accused of trying to lure an 18 or 19 year old restaurant hostess back to their hot tub back home for sex. Jim’s former best friend and former OVW manager Kenny Bolin and his son Chris also said that the Cornettes were known to have a kinky sex life and that WWE officials were well aware of their antics and did “Jack Shit about it.”

Kenny Bolin went on to say that Stacey had sex with ‘The Big Show’ Paul Wight while he was training down in OVW. Bolin said he spotted Wight naked in their home smoking a cigarette. Bolin also said that Stacey offered to give Kevin Nash a blow job…but wasn’t sure if Nash accepted the offer.

Paul Wight and Kevin Nash did not comment on those accusations. Jim’s Godson Chris said that the Cornettes antics have been well known for years, but nobody came forward for fear of losing work.

Pak His Pockets

Pak Song was a Korean born wrestler who competed for the NWA and its various territories throughout the 1970’s. Dubbed “The Korean Assassin,” Song feuded with the likes of Jack Brisco, Terry Funk and Harley Race. He is also notable for starting a feud with Dusty Rhodes turning Rhodes into a very popular babyface in Florida.

Around 1976, Pak Song was arrested for allegedly shoplifting items from a K-Mart in Tampa, Florida. While the crime made the local news, Pak Song was released without incident. It was believed that Florida promoter Eddie Graham…who had strong ties with Floridian politicians and police…was able to erase the incident from Pak’s record.

Rebel Til the End

Juventud Rebelde (Rebel Youth) aka Jerry Garcia was an independent luchador from the Irapuato, Guanajuato region of Mexico. After wrestling at an event hours earlier on May 17, 2022, Garcia went to workout at a local gym. After his workout concluded, Garcia left the gym and walked towards his vehicle parked right in front of the gym. A man approached Garcia and allegedly attempted to kidnap the popular wrestler.

Garcia fought off the kidnapping attempt and was shot five times at point blank range killing him in the middle of the street in broad daylight. The shooting took place near a fire department station and was almost immediately cordoned off. The shooter has yet to be caught as of this writing. Garcia was believed to be in his 30’s.

Mother Mary

In November of 1956, it was reported that wrestler and daughter to the Fabulous Moolah…Mary Carroll pressed charges against her mother for forcing her to wrestle shortly after having an operation. The 15 year old said she has been a wrestler ever since she was 13 and had over 300 matches in her career thus far. The police were charging Moolah with “neglect of a minor” for allegedly forcing Mary to wrestle against her will.

No other information was available concerning this particular case. It should be noted, that after Moolah died in 2007, many of her female trainees came forward accusing her of various things like forcing them to work, taking most of the money they earned and even pimping the girls to male wrestlers. Some other wrestlers came to Moolah’s defense on those matters with one of them being Mary Carroll herself. She denied any wrongdoing by her mother and even stated that the newspaper article in which she accused her Moolah of neglect were blown out of proportion.
