Brian Damage
This is the 371st installment of the ‘Wrestling with Sin‘ series. A group of stories that delves into the darker, underbelly of pro wrestling. Many of the stories involve such subjects as sex, drugs, greed and in some cases even murder! As with every single story in the Sin series, I do not condone or condemn the alleged participants. We simply retell their stories by researching interviews, newspapers, magazines and various other sources of media.
A Blair-ing Tragedy

Brett Blair, the son of former wrestler Brian Blair, was found dead in a construction site in July of 2021. Police believe Brett’s death to be a homicide. In the past, Brett had his troubles with the law which included arrests for possession of cocaine, Oxycodone and marijuana. There was also an altercation involving his father which we documented here.

As of this writing, there are no suspects or arrests made in Brett’s murder. He was 29 years old at the time of his death.
Moving Day

We are all aware of how Macho Man Randy Savage was overprotective of his wife/valet/manager Miss Elizabeth behind the scenes. Countless wrestlers have come forward of how Savage would lock her in dressing rooms to avoid any contact with anybody other than him. When Randy and Elizabeth arrived at an arena, Savage would scream and order all the wrestlers to stop what they were doing and clear a path for him and his wife. On one particular show, Savage arrived at the arena and the wrestlers all scattered out of the way…except one.

Bad News Brown just sat there and wouldn’t move…almost daring Savage to try something with him. Nothing happened at that moment, but according to Bad News, the two would grow a certain amount of hatred for one another. A hatred that boiled over in the ring, with both men throwing real kicks and punches and Savage going as far as trying to gouge Brown’s eyes. Despite the bitterness between the two, Brown did say he had a level of respect for Savage and his boundaries with Miss Elizabeth. He said that Elizabeth once invited him to her dressing room to talk and he politely declined, not wanting to disrespect Savage.
Shane on You

In the 1990’s, there was a rather unscrupulous wrestling promoter Shane Jaipal. He was originally from India who found success promoting pro wrestling in South Africa. His usually went under the wrestling name of ‘Mr. Shane.’ Several wrestlers came forward and revealed some of the dirty tactics Jaipal did while as a promoter. One particular incident involved a contingent of British wrestlers that included David Taylor who were booked for a Jaipal promoted show.
Their passports were immediately taken from them and Shane Jaipal refused paying them upfront before the show. When the wrestlers complained and refused to wrestle unless they were paid, Jaipal had them placed in jail. This apparently was a common practice used by Mr. Shane. Ironically in October of 1997, Jaipal would see himself on the other side of the law.

Shane Jaipal was dating a woman named Argentina Loutsaris. When she discovered that Jaipal was already married to another woman, she broke off the relationship. Jaipal allegedly stalked her for months after and culminated when Jaipal allegedly ran Loutsaris’ car off the road. He then allegedly poured gasoline on her and set her on fire. Her son claimed that before she passed away, she named Jaipal her killer and then slipped into a coma and ultimately dying from her injuries. Jaipal was arrested and denied any involvement pleading not guilty.

In the well publicized trial….the judge found Jaipal guilty and sentenced to 20 years in prison for the murder of Argentina Loutsaris. Jaipal would appeal the decision…but his appeals were eventually denied. Many people questioned why Shane’s prison sentence wasn’t longer than 20 years….the judge in the case Hillary Squires cited that she believed he wasn’t in the right state of mind and it wasn’t premeditated murder.
A Small Birthday Gift

While on the road with the WWF, Brutus Beefcake was celebrating his birthday. He was feeling a bit depressed because he wasn’t home spending his special day with his wife and family. Some of Beefcake’s friends decided to cheer him and surprise him with a birthday gift. The wrestlers all chipped in a few bucks and decided to hire a prostitute for him.

The thing was, this wasn’t any ordinary lady of the evening. The boys paid for a midget hooker to go to Beefcake’s hotel room and give him a much needed laugh. The wrestlers escorted the midget to his hotel room door and hid while the prostitute knocked on his door. When Beefcake opened his door and saw the small woman, he immediately looked around outside. He appeared agitated, but allegedly let the woman into his room and closed the door. The day after, Beefcake supposedly never confessed to anything and remained tightlipped about that evening for years after. What was supposed to be a joke, may have been something else. The boys never found out.
