This is the 240th installment of the ‘Wrestling with Sin‘ series. A group of stories that delves into the darker, underbelly of pro wrestling. Many of the stories involve such subjects as sex, drugs, greed and in some cases even murder! As with every single story in the Sin series, I do not condone or condemn the alleged participants. We simply retell their stories by researching interviews, newspapers, magazines and various other sources of media.

Pepper is Salty

Pro wrestler and actor Pepper Martin competed in various territories across the country including Los Angeles, Portland, Oklahoma and Detroit. He has also appeared in movies such as The Longest Yard, Walking Tall and Superman II. While working in the Los Angeles territory, Pepper spent a night out at a club. It was there he met a woman and the two instantly hit it off.

Pepper was already married and had two children. Despite this, Pepper and the woman he met at the club carried on an affair for months. The affair led Pepper to demand a divorce from his wife. Not long after leaving his family, his mistress revealed she as actually a madame who ran a brothel.

So incensed was he that Pepper broke it off with his mistress. That night after breaking up with his mistress, Pepper received word that his mistress attempted suicide. She swallowed a full bottle of pills and overdosed. Feeling guilty, Martin went to visit his former mistress in the hospital only to meet her ex fiance. Her ex revealed that she once tried to commit suicide when they split up by attempting to jump out of a moving car.

Pepper Martin decided it was best to stay away from his mistress for good. She was admitted to a mental hospital after she recovered from her suicide attempt. Pepper Martin went back to his wife and begged for forgiveness. She ultimately took Pepper back.

Jimmy Got Jacked

The Rockers of Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty first debuted with the WWF back in 1987. Their very first night with the company, the Rockers and a few other WWF wrestlers went out to party. According to Jannetty, he met a woman at the bar they were at. Jannetty and the woman wound up sleeping together later that night. The woman apparently turned out to be one of WWF wrestler Jimmy Jack Funk’s ring rats.

The following day at the TV tapings, Marty and Shawn were backstage eating when Jimmy Jack immediately got in Jannetty’s face. Jimmy Jack allegedly made a scene in front of all the other wrestlers accusing Jannetty of calling Jimmy Jack a jobber and Michaels being too wild and getting everybody thrown out of the bar they were at. Jannetty insists he never called Jimmy Jack a jobber and Shawn…who was wild..was on his best behavior that night.

None the less, Jimmy Jack got the rest of the locker room angry at the Rockers. The tag team was ultimately fired from the company albeit briefly.

Farmer’s ALL Woman-ac

Sally “The Farmer’s Daughter” was a wrestler who competed on the first three seasons of G.L.O.W. aka Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling starting in 1986. She also appeared with other GLOW wrestlers on a celebrity edition of the game show The Family Feud. After three seasons, Sally moved back to the farm…never to be seen again.

That is, as a pro wrestler. Sally, whose real name is Becky Mullen turned her attention to an acting and modeling career in Hollywood. She appeared in a few music videos in background work and a cameo appearance on the sitcom ‘Married With Children.’ Mullen also graced the pages of Playboy magazine and has starred in a bunch of soft core porn movies with titles like, Sinful Intrigue, Hard Hunted and The Bikini Car Wash Company Part II.

Gunned Down in Guadalajara

A veteran Lucha Libre referee named Pedro Davalos aka “El Millionario” was walking with a group of friends in Guadalajara, Mexico. A red pick up truck pulled alongside the group and opened fire. Gavalos and several others were struck by the gunfire. All were rushed to a nearby hospital. It is there that Davalos was pronounced dead. Two others also died in the drive by attack. The police had no motive for the shooting.
