This is the 207th installment of the ‘Wrestling with Sin‘ series. A group of stories that delves into the darker, underbelly of pro wrestling. Many of the stories involve such subjects as sex, drugs, greed and in some cases even murder! As with every single story in the Sin series, I do not condone or condemn the alleged participants. We simply retell their stories by researching interviews, newspapers, magazines and various other sources of media.

Jun Swoon

Jun Kasai is a famous Japanese death match wrestler who has competed all over the world, but mainly for the promotion ‘Big Japan’. He often has wrestled insane gimmick matches that have involved barbwire, broken glass and razors. In 2005, Kasai allegedly slept with a woman who was related to a member of the Japanese mob aka the Yakuza. The Yakuza had threatened to cut off Kasai’s penis in retaliation. It took Shinya Kojika, the promoter of Big Japan Wrestling to talk the Yakuza out of harming one his top stars.

The Great Kojika, a former wrestler himself, allegedly had strong ties to the Yakuza. He was able to convince them that Kasai had no prior knowledge the woman was related to a Yakuza member. It is rumored though, that as a trade for Kasai’s penis, he was heavily booked in some extremely dangerous, insane spots that severely injured Kasai from his usual deathmatch injuries.

Somebody Call Buff’s Mama

In the Summer of 1999, Buff Bagwell and Ernest ‘The Cat’ Miller were involved in a scripted feud. That feud would soon boil over into real life. It started when Buff did a promo on WCW Monday Nitro in full blackface mocking Ernest ‘The Cat’ Miller. Miller found the promo to be racist and confronted Bagwell about it. The two would exchange heated words but were separated before anything else came of it.

Fast forward to the Road Rage ’99 pay per view and Miller and Bagwell are scheduled for a one on one match. Originally, Miller was booked to win, but Buff allegedly threw a fit and complained to the head booker Kevin Nash. The result of the match would be changed in Buff’s favor and that led to more heated words between Miller and Bagwell. This time, however, Miller open hand slapped Bagwell across his face and threw a couple of punches that dropped Buff to the ground.

The two wrestlers were then separated and Buff allegedly apologized to Miller after things had calmed down. Buff still went on to win their Road Rage match, but years later Miller insisted there are no more hard feelings between the two.

Whatcha Gonna Do Brother?

The ex-wife of Hulk Hogan, Linda Bollea, has accused the wrestler of “financial treachery.” Bollea says Hulk is legally required to pay her 40% of all future earnings as agreed upon in their divorce settlement. Linda and her attorney accused Hogan of lying about his assets and hiding money to prevent it from being divided up with her. She wants Hogan to either pay her all the money she is due or have the judge put him in contempt of court.

Linda has asked the court to investigate all of his financial holdings and records since 2013. If Hogan is caught hiding money from Linda, he is facing additional fines and possible jail time. He will also be responsible for paying Linda’s legal fees.

Fun with the Hun

Former GLOW wrestler ‘Matilda the Hun’, aka Deanna Booher, certainly has lived an interesting life outside the squared circle. She and her husband were swingers and they ran numerous sex businesses. They worked on a sex newsletter, a phone sex operator and she also worked as a dominatrix. The couple also briefly ran a massage parlor in California that gave out “happy endings.” One day, a customer asked her for the full massage experience and handed her $50. When she accepted the money, the customer turned out to be an undercover cop and Deanna was arrested and jailed. She was ultimately bailed out by her husband and the massage parlor was shut down.

A Shocker in Mexico

Mexican luchador and former TNA wrestler Jose Luis Jair Soria aka Shocker was arrested in November of 2017. The shocker was allegedly spending the evening with a prostitute in Tlalpan, Mexico. For unknown reasons, Shocker had an argument with the prostitute and he allegedly beat her up. In addition to that, Shocker was also accused of trashing the hotel they were staying at.

When the police showed up to his hotel room, Shocker allegedly resisted arrest and had to have numerous officers hold him down to be handcuffed. He was ordered to pay the hotel 30,000 pesos for the damages to the room. That is roughly 1,500 in American dollars. He was arrested and jailed on a Thursday and by that Saturday, was wrestling a match for CMLL.
