This is the 193rd installment of the ‘Wrestling with Sin‘ series. A group of stories that delves into the darker, underbelly of pro wrestling. Many of the stories involve such subjects as sex, drugs, greed and in some cases even murder! As with every single story in the Sin series, I do not condone or condemn the alleged participants. We simply retell their stories by researching interviews, newspapers, magazines and various other sources of media.

Loco Luchador

In AAA wrestling down in Mexico in 1992, Super Muñeco, Super Pinocho and Super Ratón wrestled Espanto Jr., Karis La Momia and La Parka. During the match, Super Pinocho unmasked La Parka revealing his face….while a magazine called Titanes del Ring snapped a picture of his face. Apparently, it was revenge on the part of Super Pinocho who had issues with La Parka dating back for quite some time. La Parka continually referred to the trio as “3 pussies” and Super Pinocho got fed up and wanted to get even with La Parka.

Pinocho was good friends with the photographer of the wrestling magazine Titanes del Ring and he came up with the plot. After ripping off La Parka’s mask and the photographer snapping pictures of his true identity…La Parka went nuts. He legitimately began beating on Pinocho as he was trying to put his mask back on. In Mexico, it is a big no-no to unmask a fellow luchador without it being booked.

Several other luchadors threatened Super Pinocho with bodily harm if they ever saw him backstage or booked against him in a match. AAA wound up blacklisting Pinocho for a long time and he even retired from wrestling in hopes the incident would be forgotten.

Bail for Bayless

Former TNA wrestling Knockout Becky ‘Cookie’ Bayless was arrested in August of 2008. Around 2:45 AM, Bayless drove through a red light in Florida and was stopped by police. The police smelled alcohol on her breath and administered a breathalyzer test. Becky registered a 0.21 blood alcohol level to the test.

The legal limit in Florida is 0.08…so Bayless was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence. She was able to post a $500 bond and was released later in the day.

He Sika the Truth

During the days of Bill Watts’ Mid South wrestling, a group of the heel wrestlers stayed at a hotel in Shreveport, Louisiana. One night, they were all hanging out by the hotel pool eating and drinking. A couple of patrons from the hotel (Not in the wrestling business or even fans) approached the wrestlers and ingratiated themselves into the group of wrestlers. All seemed okay for a while, as these individuals were blending in with the wrestlers.

That is, until one of the patrons turned to ‘Wild Samoan’ Sika and asked if professional wrestling was fake. At first, Sika ignored the person and kept on eating…but the individual asked again. Sika stood up from the table and backhanded the person to the ground. Sika then grabbed the chair he was sitting on and was going to hit the individual with it. It took a few wrestlers to talk to Sika to calm him down before he did any serious damage.

Branko Busted

In 2011, the son of former GWF and WWF wrestler ‘Big Bully’ Busick was arrested for armed robbery. It was alleged that Branko Busick went to somebody’s apartment with a hand gun and demanded money. When the people at the residence insisted there was no money to be had…Branko allegedly assaulted one of the individuals with his gun.

Police were called and Busick was arrested at the scene. At the time, Branko Busick was a member of the University of West Virginia’s football team as a Middle Linebacker. Busick was subsequently kicked off the team for what the university called “violation of team rules.” Branko Busick was released from custody after posting a a $25,000 bond.

Young Gun

An independent wrestler from the Maryland area named Jeremy Sumpter aka ‘Big E. Sleaze’ committed suicide on October 26th, 1997. He used a gun to shoot himself in the head. No reason was given as to why he killed himself. Sumpter was just 22 years old at the time of his death.
