Pro wrestling has been filled with some of the greatest factions of all time. From the Four Horsemen, the New World Order, DX, The Hart Foundation and many others. Some have stood the test of time and lasted long enough to see how valuable they were, while others were ended far too soon. This edition of the Top Five will look at the factions that should have had a longer run.

Cosmic Wasteland

This small faction didn’t last all that long and was never really given time to develop and grow into something. After several appearances together, the plug was pulled on this group, leaving some fans to wonder…”What If?”

The Straight Edge Society

Cm Punk’s Straight Edge Society was a great idea, that was unfortunately cut short by WWE and led to some well documented frustration between Punk and WWE. There was still a lot of life left in the group and could have done more and added new members but alas that wasn’t in the cards for them.

The Nexus

This faction got off to a red hot start in WWE and really gained popularity naturally by its original concept. A group of young developmental wrestlers disenfranchised came together to destroy WWE from within. It was working perfectly, but too much tinkering from WWE creative killed off its momentum and soon the Nexus became a parody of itself.

The Wyatt Family

This cult like faction had so much leg underneath it, that it could’ve still been around to this day. Bray Wyatt acting as the cult leader and being followed by the likes of Luke Harper, Erik Rowan and Braun Strowman made the group look imposing. It was the late Luke Harper (Brodie Lee) who once said that the group should never end, just add more key people to it. There was even talk of adding a female member to the faction, but it split up the Family, only to later reunite and break up again.

The Hurt Business

This faction was red hot when it was inexplicably broken up by Vince McMahon and WWE creative. The Hurt Business should have had a much longer run in the company than they did. Their surprising split led an otherwise quiet Shelton Benjamin to voice his disgust and frustration with the creative decision and has had Bobby Lashley vocalize that he would like to somehow, someway reform the group now.
