In wrestling history there have been no less than 180+ teams that have used “Express” in their title. From the uninspired (“Original” Midnight Express), to the absurd (Rock and Cock Express), here is a list of 10 well-known “Express” teams.

Midnight Express- In 1980 Randy Rose and Dennis Condrey got together and teamed up as the Midnight Express. Over the years the members have changed-Bobby Eaton, Stan Lane, Bob Holly, Bart Gunn-with Jim Cornette the only constant.

Rock N Roll Express- In Memphis Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson were paired together by Jerry Lawler as an alternative to the Fabulous Ones in 1983. In 2024 the R N R Express is still going strong. The Midnights and the R N R have had matches as recently as 2008.

US Express- Barry Windham & Mike Rotundo began teaming in Florida, winning the US tag team title several times. They hit the big time when they won the WWF tag team titles in 1985. After losing the belts Windham left the area and was replaced by Dan Spivey and he and Rotundo teamed up as the American Express.

Lightning Express-Tim Horner and Brad Armstrong teamed in both the NWA and UWF, winning tag titles in both areas.

The Zambuie Express- Elijah Akeem (Leroy Brown) & Kareem Muhammad (Ray Candy) began teaming in Florida around 1983. They won the tag team titles there and then moved to the Mid-Southern area and were equally successful.

The Orient Express- Pat Tanaka and Akio Sato (later replaced by Kato). They wrestled in the WWF in the early 90’s and feuded with the Rockers and the Legion of Doom.

Cam Am Express- Doug Furnas & Danny Kroffat debuted in 1989 and wrestled in Japan, ECW, UWA and the WWF. They found their most success in All-Japan, and briefly held the ECW tag team titles.

The All Night Express- Kenny King & Rhett Titus teamed in Ring of Honor between 2009-2017. They wrestled teams like the Briscoes, Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team and the Kings of Wrestling, winning the ROH tag team title.

Jurassic Express- Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus-The fan favorite AEW team defeated the Lucha Brothers for the tag team titles in Jan 2022 before losing to the Young Bucks in June.
S & S Express-Steve Simpson and Joe Savoldi made their name in the Pacific Northwest in 1985 for Portland Wrestling.
